This page explains what personal data SaaSiest Community collects, why, who sees it, and what your rights are. We keep it plain, like everything else here.
Who is responsible
The data controller is The SaaSiest Company AB, org. nr 559166-3215, Persikogatan 2, 241 36 Eslöv, Sweden ("SaaSiest", "we"). Questions about your data: thomas@saasiest.com. A human answers.
What we collect and why
Application data. When you apply, we collect your work email, name, title, company, country and, if you give it, your LinkedIn profile address. We use it for one purpose: deciding whether the community is a fit for you and your company. To do that we check your email domain, look your company up in our CRM, and may assess an unknown company from its public website. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a membership, and our legitimate interest in keeping the community to its stated criteria.
Account and login. You log in with a link sent to your email. We store your email addresses, the time you log in and the session that keeps you logged in. If you choose to connect LinkedIn, we receive your name, picture and email address from LinkedIn and store them as a second way to log in. We never post to LinkedIn and never read anything else there. Legal basis: performance of the membership.
Profile data. What you write in your profile: headline, location, interests, what you can help with and need help with, skills, and the signals you switch on. You choose this yourself and you can change or clear it at any time. Legal basis: performance of the membership, and consent for anything you choose to share.
Member facts from our CRM. Your name, title, company, network cohort and membership history live in our CRM (Membrain) and are shown in your profile. If something there is wrong, tell us and we correct it at the source.
Mail we send. Login links, application decisions, and practical mail about your membership and events. These are part of running the community. Newsletters are separate, carry their own unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your membership.
Analytics and cookies. The only cookie is the one that keeps you logged in. There is no analytics tool and no tracking pixel in our mail. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Who sees what
Nothing in the community is public. Members see the profile fields you allow them to see; for the sensitive ones you choose between all members and SaaSiest staff only. SaaSiest staff see everything, including your application and its assessment, because they decide on it. Partners and service providers in the ecosystem tier see only members who have switched on contact from the ecosystem. We never sell member data and partners never receive member lists.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers under data processing agreements: Railway hosts the platform and its database in the EU (Amsterdam); Resend delivers our mail; Membrain is our CRM; LinkedIn, if you connect it, under its own terms. Where a provider processes data outside the EU, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Membership and profile data for as long as you are a member, then twelve months in case you return. Declined applications twelve months, so we can review returning applicants fairly. CRM records as described in the SaaSiest event policies. Want it gone sooner? Email us and we delete it, except for bookkeeping records connected to payments, which we keep as required by law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Email thomas@saasiest.com and we handle it within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; ours is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
